1 cup butter flavored shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt

Topping
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400. Cream together first 5 ingredients until well blended.

Combine dry ingredients and mix into creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Combine topping ingredients in a small bowl and roll dough into mixture. Place 2-3 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Remove to a cooking rack.
