HERBED BROWN RICE AND CHICKEN

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp pepper
1 tbsp butter
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves, crushed
1 1/2 cups uncooked quick-cooking brown rice
1 cup frozen peas
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Season chicken with garlic powder and pepper. Heat butter in skillet. Add chicken and cook until browned. Remove chicken. Stir in broth and thyme. Heat to a boil. Stir in rice. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add peas and chicken. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes more or until done. Stir in cheese. Serves 4
