FRENCH TRUFFLE TORTE

Crust
1 1/2 cups very finely chopped pecans
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp butter, melted
Filling
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped or chocolate chips
Ice cream caramel sauce, warmed
Whipped cream
Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, combine crust ingredients and press on bottom and sides of a 9 or 10 inch pie plate. Bake 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.
In a saucepan, cook whipping cream over medium heat unit it just comes to a boil, about 5-8 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate until completely melted and cream is incorporated. Pour into cooled crust. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or until set. Garnish torte with whipped cream; serve with warm caramel sauce.
