1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
Frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 lb box confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, for topping
Cream butter and sugar. Add yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and flour; mix well. Cover and chill for 1 hour. While dough chills, make frosting.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar gradually, beating until smooth after each addition. Stir in vanilla and set aside.
Preheat oven to 300. Roll chilled cookie dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on a lightly butter cookie sheet. Flatter ball to 1/4 inch thickness. Bake 10-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on wire racks. Spread frosting on each cookie and top with chocolate chips.
