PIZZA DIP II - Crock pot

4 oz Italian sausage, casing removed
1 small onion, finely chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 (28 oz) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3/4 cup chopped pepperoni
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
Combine sausage meat, onion, and garlic in a skillet over moderate heat and saute until meat is browned, about 5 minutes. Drain off fat and combine meat mixture with remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook on low heat for 3 hours. Serve with slices of focaccia, Italian bread, or pita toast triangles. Serves 7 to 12.
