1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick melted butter
1 beaten egg
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
1 lb. box powdered sugar
2 beaten eggs
Mix together with fork, cake mix, melted butter, and beaten egg. Pat into 9x14 inch greased pan. Soften cream cheese. Add the other 2 beaten eggs, vanilla and 1 pound powdered sugar. Keep a little sugar to drizzle over cake after it has been baked. Pour over crumb mixture. Bake 45 minutes at 350. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut in squares.
Variation: Beat butter, vanilla, 1 egg, and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Mix in dry cake mix and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly coat cookie sheet with cooking spray. Drop dough by teaspoonful in a bowl of powdered sugar, roll into balls. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
