POLISH CHICKEN AND SAUSAGE (Crock Pot)

3 medium carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup water and wine
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1/8 tsp ground cloves
2 bay leaves
2 (15 oz) cans navy beans, drained
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, frozen
1/2 lb fully cooked Polish sausage, sliced into 1/4 inch

In a small saucepan, brings carrots, onions and water to a boil. Simmer covered for 5 minutes. Transfer to a 4 quart crock pot. Stir in next 6 ingredients. Add frozen chicken on top of mixture. Place sausage slices on top of chicken. Cover. Cook on low heat setting for 9-10 hours or on high for 5 1/2 -6 hours. Do no cook for less time. Remove bay leaves before serving
