CHICKEN PASTA ITALIANO

1/4 lb sliced bacon, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
3/4 lb chicken breasts, cut into 1/4 inch strips
4 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup dry sherry or chicken broth
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1/8 tsp ground red pepper
8 oz spaghetti, cooked
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
While pasta is cooking, in a frying pan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and set aside. Discard all but 2 tbsp drippings. Add garlic and chicken to pan. Cook over high heat, stirring, until meat is lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add next 4 ingredients; boil over high heat until most of the liquid as evaporated, about 10 minutes. Return chicken to tomato mixture; stir until heated through.
Drain spaghetti and arran on a platter. Spoon chicken mixture over and sprinkle with bacon and cheese.
