CARAMELIZED ONIONS II

2 tbsp butter
2 large red or white onions, cut into 3/4 inch chunks
4 tbsp brown sugar

In a skillet, heat butter over medium-low heat until melted. Add onions. Cover and cook until tender, about 13-15 minutes. Uncover, add sugar. Cook and stir until onion is golden brown, stirring occasionally, about 4-5 minutes.

NOTE: Like to serve on sandwiches or burgers, over steak or prime rib.
