BACON CLAM SPREAD
Category: Spreads -- Cold
1 (6 1/2 oz can chopped or minced clams, drained
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 tbsp prepared horseradish
1 tsp lime juice
1 (3 oz) jar real bacon bits, reserve 1 tbsp for garnish
Potato or Pita chips, for dipping
Process ingredients except bacon bits until smooth. Put into a serving bowl and sprinkle with reserve bacon over top. Serve with chips.
Note: I like to add a few tbsp of the clam juice to the mixture for added flavor and to make it a little more creamy. Sometimes add more parmesan cheese or cream cheese if it gets to creamy.
