CHOCOLATE DREAM COOKIES

4 (4 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cups chopped walnuts and pecans

In a large saucepan, combine chocolate and butter over low heat; stirring constantly until chocolate melts. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Beat in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Stir in vanilla.

In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Blend to make a smooth batter. Gently fold in the nuts. Chill dough for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 300. Using hands shape chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Arrange on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until firm. Transfer sheets to wire rack and let cookies cool on sheets
