MEXICAN STYLE DIP

1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup chopped jalapeno pepper
2 cups shredded Mexican-style cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Coat a 9 inch pie plate with cooking spray. Press cream cheese on bottom of pie plate. Brown hamburger; drain. Mix in seasoning mix and water. Cook and stir 2-4 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in salsa and jalapenos. Pour mixture over cream cheese in the pie plate. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake until cheese melts. Serves 12
