MEXICAN CHEESE DIP - with Meat

Category: Dips - Hot

1 lb ground beef or sausage
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp cumin and chili powder
1 (8 oz) jar salsa
1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
8 oz Velvetta cheese, cut into 1 inch chunks
2 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened

Saute onion and meat until browned. Add seasonings. Drain. Layer a 13x9 inch baking pan with cream cheese, meat, salsa, green chilies, cubed cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve with chips.
