CREAM CHEESE COOKIE SQUARES

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup baking mix
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg

Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8 inch pan. Beat sugar and butter until fluffy. Stir in baking mix and nuts until mixture is crumbly; reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture in pan. Bake 12 minutes.

Mix cream cheese and sugar; beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread mixture over layer in pan; sprinkle reserved crumbly mixture. Bake until center is firm, about 25 minutes. Cut into 2 inch squares. Store in refrigerator.
