2 (7oz) tubes almond paste
2/3 cup confectioners sugar
2 large egg whites
2 cups sliced almonds

Cut almond paste into 1-inch chunks. Beat at low speed until paste crumbles. Add sugar and egg whites; beat until well blended. Place almonds on sheet of waxed paper. Lightly flour hands. Roll 1 tbsp dough into a 3-inch-long log. Place log on almonds, press gently and roll, until covered with almonds. Place on greased and floured cookie sheet. Repeat with rest of dough. Bake at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet, let cool on wire rack.
