GARLIC-SKEWERED SHRIMP

21 large cloves garlic, peeled and divided
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup pizza sauce
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp ground red pepper
24 jumbo fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 2 lbs raw in shell)
Mince 3 cloves garlic. Combine minced garlic, olive oil, and remaining 4 ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes. Cover remaining garlic cloves with water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and boil 3 minutes; drain and set aside.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove shrimp from marinade, reserving marinade. Bring marinade to a boil in a saucepan; set aside. Thread shrimp and garlic onto 6 metal skewers. Grill, covered, 3 minutes on each side or until shrimp turn pink, basing with reserved marinade. Serves 6
