SHRIIMP AND CRAB AU GRATIN

1/4 cup butter
1 tsp salt and garlic
1/2 cup flour
3 cups hot milk
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
10 oz crab meat and raw shrimp, shelled and cleaned
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 tsp paprika
Additional grated cheese for topping

Preheat oven to 450. Melt butter and add salt and garlic. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in hot milk. Stir in 1/2 cup parmesan cheese until blended. Add shellfish. Add cheese and bring to a boil and then turn off heat. Mix remaining 1/2 cup parmesan cheese with paprika. Sprinkle half the mixture evenly on bottom of a large au gratin dish. Stir shellfish mixture well, and then turn into dish. Sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese. Bake for 8 minutes or until cheese melts. Serves 4-6.
