2 cups flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt and chili powder
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
2/3 cup oil
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies, drained

In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. In a small bowl, add eggs and next 4 ingredients. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fill greased muffin cup 2/3rds full. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes or until done.
