CHILI CHEDDAR BISCUITS

1 1/3 cup flour
3 tsp baking powder and dried parsley flakes
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup cold butter
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs from. Stir in milk and egg just until moistened. Add cheese; mix well.
Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 15 biscuits.
