ARKANSAS CORN CASSEROLE

1/2 cup butter
1 (16 oz) can cream style corn and whole kernel corn, including liquid
8 1/2 oz box corn bread mix
1 tbsp instant minced onion
2 tbsp sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup cream or onion chip dip
1 cup grated cheese, optional
Melt butter in a 13x9 inch baking dish. Add cans of corn and corn bread mix. Mix with a fork. Add onion and sugar. Add beaten eggs and spread evenly in pan. Drop sour cream by spoonfuls on top and fold in gently. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until firm. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 12
