BEEF STUFFED MUSHROOMS

1 lb ground beef
2 lb mushrooms, stems removed, chopped and reserved
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers
2 tsp minced garlic
3 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried basil leaves, crushed
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1/3 cup soft bread crumbs
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400. Brown ground beef and drain. Crumble and set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in mushroom stems and next 4 ingredients. Mix in ground beef, bread crumbs and cheese. Place mushroom caps on a large baking sheet and stuff each cap with mixture. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Serves 10
