CHILI MEATBALLS WITH ZESTY TOMATO SAUCE

Sauce
1 tbsp oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups beef broth
1 cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/4 cup chopped, drained green chilies
1/8 tsp cayenne
Salt and pepper

Meatballs
1 medium onion, chopped
2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup tomato sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp ground cumin
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 lb ground beef

Sauce: Saute onion in oil. Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 10 minutes.

Meatballs: Saute onion in oil and allow to cool in a bowl. Add remaining ingredients in the bowl and combine. Form into meatballs. Heat some oil in a pan and saute until brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels and simmer in sauce for 10 minutes.
