Shelly's Recipe

HOT BUTTER RUM SAUCE

1 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/8 tsp salt
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup dark rum
2 tbsp butter

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Mix in water. Heat slowly until mixture comes to boil. Boil 1 minute until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in rum and butter. Serves 6-8
