STOVETOP TACO CASSEROLE

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups uncooked instant rice
1 cup picante sauce
1/2 cup water
1 (14 1/2 or 16 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (11 oz) can Mexi-corn, undrained
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste

In a skillet, brown beef and onion; drain well. Stir in remaining ingredients; boil 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove fro heat. Cover, let stand 5 minutes.
