STEAK AND MUSHROOMS

2 lbs top sirloin steak
1/2 cup flour
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 tbsp olive oil
3 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp onion powder and thyme
1/2 cup red wine
1 cup water
1 cup sliced mushrooms

Pound steak to flatten. Cut into 2 inch strips. Roll in flour, salt and pepper. Add oil to frying pan and brown meat on both sides. Reduce heat to a simmer, add herbs and 1/2 cup water. Steam for 20 minutes. Add remaining water, wine and mushrooms and cook 20 minutes more, or until tender. Check periodically, adding more water, if needed. Remove meat from pan and add 1-2 tbsp flour. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 6
