CHERRY-APPLE PIE

1 cup dried tart cherries
4 cups peeled, cored and sliced apples
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp butter
Pastry for 9 inch 2 crust pie

Combine fruit in a bowl. Stir in next 3 ingredients. Let stand 15 minutes. Put mixture into pastry-lined 9 inch pie pan. Dot with butter. Cover and cut crust with slits, combining well. Seal and flute. Bake at 425 for 40-50 minutes or until edge is golden brown and apples are tender.
