PEANUT BUTTER CRUMBLE BARS

3/4 cup sugar and packed brown sugar
3/4 cup shortening and creamy peanut butter
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cups chopped peanuts

Preheat oven to 350. Beat first 5 ingredients until smooth. Stir in dry ingredients. Reserve 1 1/2 cups. Press remaining dough in an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Mix reserved dough with the peanuts. Crumble into pan, pressing lightly. Bake until golden, about 20-25 minutes; cool. Cut into squares.
