DRUNKEN SHRIMP COCKTAIL

24 oz light beer
8 clove garlic, crushed
3 bay leaves
1 tsp dried thyme and fennel seeds
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
2 lbs raw shrimp, tails on, peeled and deveined
In a large saucepan, combine ingredients except shrimp and bringing mixture to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes. Add shrim and simmer, covered, until shrimp just turn pink, about 2-4 minutes. Drain shrimp in a colander. Chill until ready to serve. Serve with cocktail sauce.
Cocktail Sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp horseradish, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
Combine and mix well.
