JACK DANIELS CHEESE AND BRAT SOUP

1 cup celery, carrot, bell pepper and onion, chopped
2 tbsp vegetable oil
6 cups chicken broth
4 beer bratwurst -- cut in 1/2 inch rounds
1 tsp salt -- to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper -- to taste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp Tabasco brand Jalapeno Sauce
1 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded
2 tbsp flour
1 bottle beer
In a large soup pot, saute the vegetables in oil until lightly browned. Add the chicken broth; bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until carrots are almost tender. About 30 minutes. Add the bratwurst, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco Jalapeno Sauce; return to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Stir together the cheese and flour; add to the simmering soup, whisking to distribute thoroughly. Increase heat and bring barely to boil, stirring constantly. Add the Jack Daniels Lager Beer. bring again barely to boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Serves 6
