BEER BASTED STEAKS

6 sirloin steaks
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp Grainy mustard
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 Onion -- finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 cup beer

Combine all ingredients in a pan. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes, cool. Pour mixture over steaks. Let stand 1 to 2 hours, turning steaks occasionally. Barbecue until golden brown on both sides. Serves 6
