BLACK FOREST PIE

4 (1 oz) bars unsweetened baking chocolate
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp almond extract
1 ½ cup whipping cream
1 baked 9 inch pie crust
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
Toasted sliced almonds
Combine chocolate with condensed milk in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and stir in extract. Pour into large bowl; cool or refrigerate thoroughly. Beat until smooth.
Beat whipping cream until stiff; gradually fold into chocolate mixture. Pour into baked pie crust. Refrigerate 4-6 hours or until set. Serve with pie filling. Garnish with almonds. Cover and refrigerate leftover pie.
