2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 cup plus 2 tbsp flour
Coarse, colored sugar

Cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add flour. Mix until well blended. Turn mixture into well-greased 13x9” baking pan. Mixture will be crumbly. Cover with waxed paper. Press evenly into pan by pressing on waxed paper with the palms of your hands. Remove paper. Prick top of dough closely with a fork. Bake 1 1/2 hours on center rack at 275 oven. Turn off heat; remove pan from oven. Cut at once into 1 inch squares. Return pan to oven; close door. Remove pan from oven when oven is completely cool. Sprinkle with coarse sugar. Store in an airtight container. Makes 10 dozen.
