DASTARDLY HASH COOKIES

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda and salt
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp instant coffee and boiling water
1 egg
3 (1.2 oz) toffee bars, chopped
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375. Sift dry ingredients in a bowl. Beat the butter and shortening with the sugar until creamy. Stir the coffee powder with boiling water in a bowl until smooth. Stir in candy bars and chips. Drop batter by tbspfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
