STEAK WITH COUNTRY SAUCE

Category: Beef Steaks

1 tsp garlic salt
Dash pepper
1 (2 lb) flank steak
2 slices bacon, diced and fried crisp
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 cup grape jelly and ketchup

Sprinkle both sides of steak with garlic salt and pepper. Saute onion in bacon drippings until golden. Return bacon to pan and add remaining ingredients; simmer until jelly melts and mixture is smooth, stirring occasionally. Let cool.

Pour sauce over steak in pan; cover and let stand 1 hour, turning steak once. Drain sauce from steak and grill until done to your liking. Brush steak while grilling several times with sauce. Heat remaining sauce to a boil and serve with steak.
