OLD FASHIONED APPLE LOAF

FOR THE LOAF:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Dash ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup chunky applesauce
2 eggs
1/4 cup oil
2 tbsp milk

FOR TOPPING:
4 tbsp chopped pecans
4 tsp butter or margarine
2 tsp brown sugar

Mix all of the loaf ingredients together. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.

Mix topping ingredients together using a fork. Sprinkle topping down the center of loaf.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-45 minutes until knife pulls out cleanly.

Makes 1 loaf
