Italian Cheese Twist

1 loaf frozen bread, thawed

Filling
1 1/2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
1 1/4 cup grated parmesan or asiago cheese

EGG WASH:
1 egg
1 tablespoon water

Topping:
1/4 cup grated parmesan or asiago cheese

Roll thawed bread on a light floured surface. Combine filling ingredients. Spread on bread dough and roll into a log. Twist the bread about 3 times.

Spray baking sheet. Place loaves on pan, let raise, covered, until doubled (45 min.) Preheat oven to 375.

Slash dough with serrated knife. Brush lightly egg wash and sprinkle top with 1/4 cup cheese. Bake 30-35 minutes till done. Cool on rack.
