2 lbs. chuck roast
2 large baking potatoes
A few handfuls of baby carrots
1 onion (optional)
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 package of McCormick pot roast seasoning


Place roast in a skillet with a little olive oil to coat the pan.
Season meat with salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash on both sides.
Brown meat on both sides.
Place in crockpot.
Add cut potatoes and baby carrots.
Cut onion in half and place on either side of roast (this is used for flavoring)
Add 1 can cream of mushroom soup, half a can of water, and package of pot roast seasoning.

Set to low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours.

It makes its own gravy, so try not to add too much liquid.
Serve with white rice or egg noodles.
