- 3/4 cup oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (3.9 ounce size) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 pint sour cream
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
Grease the inside of the crock pot or a deep cake pan that will fit inside the crock pot. In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, eggs, water, pudding mix, and cake mix. Mix on low speed until blended. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula then add the sour cream. Mix until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand then pour the cake batter into the prepared crock pot (or cake pan). Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or until the dessert is almost set (it won't be firm like a cake, it's more gooey). Scoop the dessert out with a spatula or large spoon and place in a bowl. Top with vanilla ice cream and/or whipped cream.
