Ground Beef and Sausage Rice Casserole

1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb bulk sausage
1 cup celery, chopped
¼ cup onion, chopped
½ tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
10.5 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
10.5 oz condensed cream of celery soup
32 oz chicken stock or broth
2 cups white rice - long grain


1. Preheat oven to 350°F degrees and spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
2. Place ground beef and sausage to a large skillet, crumble and brown on medium high heat until about half cooked. 3. Add in celery, onion and seasonings and cook until soft and meat is done. About 7 to 10 minutes total.
Add in cream of celery and chicken soups, chicken stock and stir until combined. Then pour in rice and mix until completely blended.
4. Pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish and cover tightly with foil. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven when done and fluff with a fork.
