Cakes - Apple Fresh

2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups Wesson oil
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups chopped red apples - do not peel
1 cup chopped nuts
Powdered sugar for dusting
sweetened whipped cream optional


1. Sift together dry ingredients
2. Add oil, eggs and vanilla
3. Stir in the apple and nuts
4. Grease but do not flour a tube or bundt pan
5. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour
6. Cool 10 minutes in pan and turn out on plate
7. Dust lightly with powdered sugar and serve with sweetened whipped cream
