Brownies - Hershey's

Brownies:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup Hershey cocoa
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
creamy brownie frosting

Frosting:
3 Tbsp butter, softened
3 Tbsp Hershey cocoa
1 Tbsp light corn syrup or honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp Milk


Brownies:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9" square baking pan.
2. In medium bowl, stir together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and with a spoon, beat well.
3. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture and beat until well blended. Stir in nuts.
4. Spread batter into pan and bake 20 - 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
5. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
6. Prepare brownie frosting and spread over brownies. Cut into squares

Frosting:
1. In a small mixing bowl, beat butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla until blended.
2. Add powdered sugar and milk; beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Add additional milk if needed, 1/2 tsp at a time.
