Pork Chop Casserole
Category: Casseroles
4 - 6 pork chops
2 potatoes
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp Cajun spices (Tony Chachere's or Slap Ya Mama)
1 onion, sliced
1 (10 oz) can golden cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup each parsley and green onions
1 6 oz can mushroom steak sauce or brown gravy (optional)
1. Spray 9" x 13" baking pan with cooking spray.
2. Slice potatoes and season both sides of the pork chops and potato slices with the pepper, onion powder and Cajun spices.
3. Lay sliced potatoes in bottom of pan, then layer sliced onions on top of potatoes, then the parsley and green onion, finally place pork chops over onions.
4. Mix together the soup and brown gravy with 1/2 can water and spread over pork chops. Or if not using the brown gravy, spread soup over pork chops. Using soup can put about l/2 can of water and pour over the top of the mixture.
5. Cover and cook about one and a half hours at 350 degrees.
****Chicken can be used in place of the pork chops.
