Crock-Pot - Hamburger, Potato & Bean

1 lb lean ground beef
2 cans (8 oz) tomato sauce
3 medium potatoes, peeled if desired, halved lengthwise and sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cans (15.5 oz) dark red kidney beans, undrained
1 can (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper


1. In large skillet, cook ground beef until no longer pink. Drain well.
2. Spoon 1/3 cup of the tomato sauce into the bottom of a 3 1/2 or 4 quart crock pot.
3. Layer half of the potatoes, onion, undrained beans, beef, mushrooms, garlic powder and black pepper. Repeat layers; pour the remaining tomato sauce over.
4. Cover and cook on high heat setting for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until potatoes are tender. Stir mixture just before serving.
