Candy - Buckeyes

2¼ cups peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine or butter
2 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 (12 oz) chocolate chips
1 Tbsp vanilla
2 Tbsp shortening


1. Line cookie sheet with wax paper.
2. Beat peanut butter till creamy. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla.
3. Shape into 1” balls and freeze for 1 hour.
4. Melt chips and shortening.
5. On a toothpick, dip peanut butter ball ¾ ways into chocolate.
6. Refrigerate until set. Store covered in refrigerator.
