Cabbage Slop - Amy's

1½ - 2 lbs hamburger
1 Tbsp oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cabbage, chopped into bite size pieces
2 cans (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
½ cup water
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sea salt


1. Heat oil in a Dutch oven, cook hamburger and onion till brown. Add garlic and cook 2 minutes longer.
2. Add cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper and salt. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 50-60 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

****you can add a bag of sauerkraut if desired****
