Category: Recipes
This is the REAL original pizza hut pan pizza recipe, this is NO copycat and is their ACTUAL recipe leaked out.
ingredients
Dough:
1 and 1/3 cups warm water (85 degrees F, use candy thermometer to get close to this temperature as possible)
1/4 cup non-fat dry milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 package or 2 and 1/4 teaspoons dry yeast
2 tablespoons soybean oil (for dough)
3 tablespoons soybean oil (for pan)
butter flavored cooking spray.
Sauce:
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dry oregano
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/2 teaspoon dry basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt.
Cheese:
part skim mozzarella cheese
Instructions
start by making the Dough First,
if mixing in a bread machine add water, oil, and yeast in first, then add in all other dry ingredients. As soon as machine is done kneading dough, do not let it rise in the bread machine, transfer it to a working surface and use a rolling pin to roll dough out flat. Transfer flat dough to pan and spray around edge twice with buttered flavored cooking spray. Turn oven on to warm and hold or lowest temperature and cover pizza pan with tinfoil and Let dough rise in pan for about an hour in oven with oven door open, let rise until dough is about ¾ to 1 inch high. As soon as dough is done rising transfer to refrigerator for at least an hour. After refrigerated DO NOT bake crust before adding toppings. Add sauce and toppings and cook until desired brownness.
If mixing by hand, in a large mixing bowl mix together yeast, oil, and water first, and then mix in all other dry ingredients. Once the dough has been formed, turn out onto a flat floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until elastic and no longer sticky.
Using a rolling pin, roll out dough ball to about an 18-inch circle. Add vegetable oil to pizza pan. Place the rolled out dough into the pan. Spray the outer edge of dough with cooking spray and cover pan with tin foil. Preheat oven to 120 degrees or warm and hold cycle. Place pan with dough in oven for one hour to one hour and thirty minutes to rise or until dough is ¾ to 1 inch thick. Leave oven door open during this process to prevent burning. As soon as dough is done rising transfer to refrigerator for at least an hour. After refrigerated DO NOT bake crust before adding toppings. Add sauce and toppings and cook until desired brownness.
While the dough is near the end of rising, prepare the sauce!
Add all sauce ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix well and allow it to sit for one hour at room temperature.
When ready to bake pizza, preheat your oven to 500 degrees F. Add sauce and then the part skim cheese and other toppings to your crust!
Cook the pizza until the outer crust is brown (about 10 minutes to start with) and the cheese is bubbling! Make sure not to cook anything underneath the pizza. The dough will not cook evenly. So if you are cooking bread sticks, try to cook them next to the pan and not under. Let the pizza cool a bit before slicing and eating!
