Just Ketchup

One way we save money is making our own "stuff". A few eeks ago, The Wife decided she could make our ketchup...and she did. It's pretty simple.

INGREDIENTS:

2 6 oz Cans Tomato Paste
1 Cup White Corn Syrup
6 oz Cold Water
1/2 Cup Whie Vinegar
1 TBL Garlic Powder
1 TBL Onion Powder
1 TSP Salt

DIRECTIONS:

1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Stir constantly until smooth.
3. Remove from heat and let cool.

Yields about 2 1/2 cups and will keep in the refrigerator safely for up to about 4 weeks.
