Pan Fried Rice with Onion and Garlic

1 1/2 cups of rice
1 small onion chopped
3 cloves of garlic minced
3 Tbs. of canola oil
1 Tbs of chicken bouillon(powder)
3 cups of water
In a skillet add oil over medium heat. Brown the rice in the oil until light golden brown. add chopped onion and garlic into the browned rice. Stirfry until onion and garlic has softened. Add the bouillon and stir in. Add the water and reduce heat. Cover the rice with a lid and steam for 20 minutes. NOTE: do not lift lid for the first 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes check to see if rice is tender. If so wait 5 minutes before serving.
If not tender re-cover the skillet and cook for 5 more minutes. Keep checking until rice is tender.
Serving size: 1/2 cup per person
