Sherri's Chicken Marsala

1 Tbsp butter
1/2 c. chicken broth
1/4 c. marsala wine
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
12oz chicken breasts
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dry basil

Melt butter, add broth , wine and cornstarch whisk until cornstarch is dissolved. Set aside.

Cut chicken breasts into bite size pieces and season with salt , pepper and basil.

Spray large skillet with non-stick spray. If using fresh mushrooms cook 5-7 minutes. Canned mushrooms just add to skillet. Push to side of skillet and add chicken pieces. Cook 4-5 minutes stirring frequently. Give broth mixture a quick stir then pour into skillet. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens and chicken is thoroughly cooked.
