Cowboy Cake

1 and one-half cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 large can of crushed pineapple, heavy syrup
2 teaspoons baking soda
Dash of salt

Mix flour and sugar together. Add soda, salt, pineapple including juice and eggs. Mix well and pour into a well greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING
Make frosting while the cake is baking.

1 and one-half cups sugar
1 and one-half cups coconut
1 stick oleo or butter
1 cup chopped pecans
1 small can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all ingredients except vanilla together in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and boil for six minutes. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over cake as soon as you take cake from oven.
Let cake cool completely before serving.
